Materials

Biocompatible materials for surgical guides and implants

Titanium

Both commercially Pure Titanium and Titanium Alloys GRADE 23, TI 6AI 4V ELI have very high mechanical resistance. It is lightweight, has inert metallic properties, high tissue acceptance, and corrosion resistance, and can be sterilized several times by autoclave. It is not considered ferromagnetic, therefore there is no incompatibilities with magnetic resonances 

Trabecular
Titanium

Ti6Al4V Trabecular Titanium is a very porous material that is very receptive for the growth of both soft and bony tissues. The mechanical resistance is similar to that of bone. The implant is manufactured by sintering.

Stainless Steel

biomedical grade 316LVM stainless steel is used for
Bone fixation thanks to its corrosion resistance and its biocompatibility. It has with a much stricter tolerance to impurities

PEEK

VESTAKEEP® I4 PI PEEK is designed for strength, stability and  biocompatibility. The mechanical resistance is similar to bone. The fixation points can be determined at the surgery. It is chemically inert, and it has the highest chemical resistance in the market.

PMMA

Polymethyl methacrylate Standard

PMMA is manufactured in cement with or without 
antibiotics (gentamicin) and is used for cementations and bone fixation. It allows the surgeon to perform 
intra-surgical remodeling, perforations for fixation and/or sutures, micro perforations for tissue adhesion, among others.
