Maxillofacial

Uses and Generalities:
Our solutions help surgeons in the challenging task that represents reconstruction of maxillofacial defects, including: Trauma, Genetic diseases, oncological resections, defects of the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ), Arthritic Diseases, Anchilosis, Condilar Reabsorb, Avascular Necrosis, Failed Procedures, etc.

Solutions include virtual surgical planning, surgical guides and patient-specific implants or plates looking for a more accurate reconstruction of maxillofacial defects
CATEGORIES
Uses and Generalities:
The TMJ prosthesis is custom made according to the pathology of the patient. This solution is recommended for the correction of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) defects, providing immediate function.

The solution includes:
Techfit Digital Surgery provides the mandibular and maxillary cutting guides required to perform the surgery according to the case planning.
Glenoid fossa component: The implant would consist of a titanium assembly and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW). The fixation would be done with 2.0mm screws and a minimum of 4 screws would be required.
Condylar component: The implant would consist of a titanium alloy (TI6Al4V). The fixation would be done with 2.5mm screws to the mandible and minimum 4 screws would be required.

RECONSTRUCTION PLATES
Vascularized free fibular flap for mandible and midface reconstruction:
This solution is recommended for cases of traumatic, post-traumatic reconstructions & oncological resections.
This product is not cleared by the FDA for distribution in the United States
Reconstruction with custom plates for small defects:
This plate is considered a prosthetic replacement since no type of flap or graft is used to restore bone continuity.
This product is not cleared by the FDA for distribution in the United States
Reconstruction with bone graft
This solution is recommended for resections or defects smaller than 6 cm. A variety of free flaps can be planned including scapular, rib, iliac crest free flaps
This product is not cleared by the FDA for distribution in the United States
The solution includes:
1. Detailed virtual surgical virtual planning of the specific case for the patient, where the location and length of the screws are suggested for fixation.

2. Complete custom anatomical titanium plates or independent
titanium mini plates that are tailored to the surgical planning. The
thickness of the plates can be low profile at 1.6mm or lower
depending on the discretion of the surgeon. Fixation of these plates is done with 2.0mm or 2.5mm screws, which are included.

3. Anatomical 3D printed models, surgical cutting guides for mandibular and/or maxillary resection, surgical cutting guides for the fibula graft.

4. Specific instrumentation system for the solution that includes the saws.
Uses and Generalities:
This solution is recommended for the correction of defects due to illness, trauma, or aesthetics that have cosmetic and functional effects on patients
Spacers are recommended when a first surgical procedure is needed to prepare the TMJ and mandibular ramus areas

The implants are manufactured with materials such as
Polyether ether (PEEK), Titanium (printed or machined) and Poly Methyl Methacrylate (PMMA).
The fixation of the implants is done with 1.5mm or 2.0mm screws.

Midface reconstruction
Looking for an aesthetic outcome and restoration of the facial symmetry, custom made implants are recommended to reconstruct the midface area
The solution includes:
1. Detailed virtual surgical planning of the specific case for the patient, where the location and length of the screws are suggested for fixation.

2. Computer-designed patient-specific implants

3. Anatomical 3D printed models, surgical cutting guides for mandibular and/or maxillary resection when needed.

ORTHOGNATHIC PLANNING
Uses and Generalities:
This solution is recommended to plan surgeries for the corrections of the maxilla and mandible.
They can be monoaxially or bimaxillary surgeries. 3D Virtual Treatment Planning of Orthognathic Surgery would be conducted in order to create a custom occlusion splint. If the surgery is bimaxillary, an intermediate splint and final splint would also be designed to help with proper placement of the maxilla and mandible.
The solution can be offered (for a different price) with 3D printed or machined anatomical plates.
2 types of solutions for you:
Virtual planning that includes just the splints.
Orthognathic surgery package that includes virtual planning with splints and fixation materials needed during surgery.
